Pastel Candy Rings

How many ways could I become inspired to create art from this photo?

Is this sugar coated candy or is it a stack of inflatable flotation rings covered with sand?

Today, I think I will create a project and paint something around the house in these luscious colors.  What could be found or purchased cheaply?

I already have some pastel acrylic paint in these colors.  It will be fun.

Art Deco

This building at the Mercato in Naples is new, but it sort of looks Art Deco Style to me.  Art Deco, think 1920's, 1930's, mauve's, browns.  The style first started in France.

Today I will start a project to research the Art Deco era.  I want to research the styles, the artists, the places that provide examples of this era.  Maybe I will create an Art Deco project?

If Life Gives You Lemons

My friend wrote something funny in response to the statement:

If Life Gives you Lemons You.......

She said, "Don't let them squirt you in the eye"

That's right.  Make those juicy lemons go to work.  Smile through the sour.  This can be difficult at times, but will I be any worse for it 10 years from now.  Dodge the Lemon Attack.

Besides lemons are good for my health?  Right?  Keep eyes upon the prize!

Travel Dreaming

I imagine that I am on a European vacation today.  The sidewalks are lush.  The food is out of this world.  What would I do if I did not live in America.  Who would I be if I had grown up in Europe.

For one day, I will unlock my mind and get a good travel book about Europe.  Wandering the sidewalks around town I can be in Europe in my imagination.

What sort of dish can I order, can I try an English accent when I order?  Will I bump into some European tourists and talk with them?  Can I secretly pretend they are my cousins?  Pink Dreams in Paradise to You!

Putting Dreams into Action

Putting dreams into action is necessary to make them happen.  Thinking about the goals often inspires me to write them down.
Once written down, then a solid plan needs to be formulated to make things happen.
The real learning comes with the discipline to be consistent and carry the steps forward to completion.
Completing a step of the dream is so satisfying.  It puts me in touch with my dream and my dream becomes a part of my world. This is the magic of getting unstuck.

Pink slip refers to the American practice, by a personnel department, of including a discharge notice in an employee's pay envelope to notify the worker of his or her termination of employment or layoff.[1] The "pink slip" has become a metonymy for the termination of employment in general. According to an article in The New York Times, the editors of the Random House Dictionary have dated the term to at least as early as 1910.
The phrase most likely originated in vaudeville. When the United Booking Office (established in 1906) would issue a cancellation notice to an act, the notice was on a pink slip ("The Argot of Vaudeville Part I" New York Times, Dec. 16, 1917, p.X7.) Another possible etymology is that many applications (including termination papers) are done in triplicate form, with each copy on a different color of paper, one of which is typically pink.
In the Chilly Willy cartoon, "little Televillian", Mr. Stoop, tells Smedley that if he's disturbed while reading show scripts, he would be forced to pink slip Smedley, (which Smedley doesn't know the meaning of) and yells at him, " It means...you will be fired!".
In the UK and Ireland the equivalent of a pink slip is a P45; in Belgium the equivalent is known as a C4.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_slip_(employment)
